Removing barriers to learning and equipping every child with the tools they need to build a brighter future — through supplies, sponsorships, and creative learning programs.

Access to quality education shapes a child's entire trajectory. When children can't attend school due to lack of supplies, uniforms, or shoes, the consequences ripple through their health, future income, and civic participation. Zango Foundation addresses these barriers head-on.
Each year Zango runs targeted campaigns to deliver backpacks, exercise books, uniforms, and stationery to children in rural and underserved communities. In one campaign alone, 400 pupils in Chirundu district received school bags — directly reducing absenteeism caused by the shame or inability of arriving at school empty-handed.
We partner with local schools and community leaders to identify the children in most need, ensuring supplies reach the right hands.
For many children in rural Zambia, the absence of shoes is a practical barrier to school attendance — muddy paths, thorns, and school dress codes all play a role. Through the Creative Art Corner fundraising initiative, Zango supported 198 pupils with new school shoes, removing one more obstacle between a child and their education.
The shoe program is often delivered alongside uniform support so children feel confident and ready to learn.
This flagship program invites older students to create and sell original artwork — paintings, illustrations, and crafts — to raise funds that directly support their younger peers. It is peer empowerment in its most tangible form.
Through the Creative Art Corner, Zango nurtured both creative skills and a sense of community responsibility, showing older students that they have the power to change lives. The program raised enough to provide 198 pupils with school shoes in a single campaign.
Beyond physical supplies, Zango works to keep children in school through mentorship and sponsorship support. We connect vulnerable students with mentors — often Zango volunteers — who provide encouragement, academic guidance, and a trusted adult presence.
Stories like Bertha, a Grade 2 pupil who received a new bag and books through the program, illustrate the human impact behind every campaign. Each sponsored child is a life redirected toward possibility.

"Through our Creative Art Corner we were able to fundraise and we supported 198 pupils with shoes — children who walk long distances to school every day."— Zango Foundation, Project Report
All of Zango's education programs directly contribute to SDG 4 — ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. By removing financial barriers to school attendance, we help Zambia move closer to universal basic education.
Help us put school supplies in the hands of more children — your support makes the difference between a child in school or out of it.
